BGCCA eSPORTS ACADEMY 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
BGCCA is excited to announce the creation of an eSports program launching this September for grades 4 through 12. Below is the schedule of age groups and locations for them. Offerings within this program will be Super Smash Brothers & Game Builder Garage via the Nintendo platform as well as Rocket League & Minecraft via the Xbox platform. Team members enrolling will be placed into teams to work & compete with throughout the semester. There will be dedicated BGCCA Staff Members working with each member and team for gameplay strategies, techniques, and communication.
High School members will compete for a position on the Varsity team (one for Rocket League, one for Super Smash Brothers). High school will also meet 4 times a week for practices & competitions with a dedicated staff member.
Elementary & Middle School members will compete in an in-house league with a practice day and competition day every week according with the below schedule. The first day of the week for their group will be a practice day where they will work strategically, technically, and through team communication with the second day being a competition day against another team.
